Fiber Optic Design & Installation Services

Group HI through venture partner BSEn is able to provide communications support in the design and installation of fiber optic cabling to include inside plant and outside plant services in support of fiber extension and network deployment.  Using state-of-the-art blown fiber as the backbone, BSEn installs security systems, alarms, traffic sensor systems, GPONs, EPONS, and GEPONs.

In addition Group HI has partnered with Bering Sea Eccotech, Inc. (BSE) a licensed, bonded and insured nationwide fiber contractor with permanent local offices in Sacramento CA, Newport News VA, Honolulu Hi, and Anchorage AK. We have operated in this business segment for the last 10 years. BSE has two main areas of expertise in this segment; Electrical, BSE F&C operates a complete electrical shop with crews trained in heavy electrical skills. BSE carries electrical administrators licensing in three states currently Alaska, Hawaii, and California. We pride ourselves in our ability work the total spectrum from heavy power plant work to commercial power, to installation of solar systems. This group handles our copper wire needs to include fire alarm systems, commercial building security systems, fuel farm limit gauging, and non fiber comm. drops. We also do low voltage projects such as the Atlas PA systems for training range targets in this group.  Our past/current projects in this segment run the gamut from connection of wind turbines, to commercial building wiring, to full facility electrical needs for remote oil drilling operations.

  • Outside Plant (Aerial): Service includes a complete family of reliable aerial, self-supporting cable solutions, engineered to specific span and loading conditions. The aerial figure eight system has an integrated steel messenger cable to allow for quick, one-step installation of the network.

  • Inside Plant: Interior installation and maintenance challenges can be difficult. Space constraints, network flexibility, safety, and standards compliance are all especially relevant when fiber optic cabling is used in plenum spaces.

The MicroDuct solution allows tubes to be filled with fiber in any configuration. Network investment becomes necessary only when justified. This approach can be used for any building type (office or manufacturing) as well as community usage.
BSEn is a licensed trainer and installer for Lite Access Technologies, Inc. (“Microduct”) products and a certified installer for Emtelle products as well as Draka Comptek fiber products.

This solution is extremely fast to deploy, has limited impact to the roadway, and is very easy to repair and make operational should and unforeseen event occur that disrupts service. We have deploy networks both inside facilities, aerial, and we have developed our own cutting solutions that allow for fiber optic trenching to be placed at speeds as high as 15 feet per minute, with 3000+ feet completely installed on hard surface areas per day. This process is best used in urban areas where deploying fiber carries an expensive price tag as it greatly reduces cost and time to deploy. Our past/current projects from this group include the Port of LA, USAF Wind Turbines, City/County Honolulu, GCI cable, Google, Parsons MOUT, US Army Communication BPA, USAF REI Radio Equipment Integration.
